Program Description
The tax reform bill recently signed by President Trump (formally known as Tax Cuts and Jobs Act) made some dramatic changes to corporate and personal taxes. But buried in the Act were significant changes in how companies can deduct business expenses – including fringe benefit and other employee related expenses. This important topic is not just for your CFO but is relevant to HR professionals as they partner with their business colleagues.
This Members Only Breakfast session will be led by Travis Shears, a Senior Tax Manager with LBMC in Chattanooga. Travis will outline the impact the Act has to retirement programs, compensation, and expensing of employee benefits. The changes created are not just about withholding tables, there are changes that are fundamental to employee total rewards.
