Program Description
In today's fast-paced, unpredictable world, employees MUST be able to adapt to change rapidly. Yet we all know that most employees fear and fight change, creating frustration and more work for their manager, and slowing down their employer’s product rollouts, strategic initiatives, and other important changes.
In this program, you will learn a simple, yet powerful model for identifying what your organization is doing that is preventing you from having a more resilient, “Can Do” culture.
You will also take away a powerful tool, based on this model, that you can use with your managers to help them become more aware of what they can do—and make sure they do NOT do—so they can support your employer building a Change-Friendly culture.
You will also learn what MUST happen first if you want to create a more resilient culture, and how to do this well. (Hint: it relates to last month’s program)
In addition, you will walk away with clear, actionable Next Steps that will help you translate your enthusiasm and knowledge into results that will:
- Enable employees to respond to change, challenge, and uncertainty with courage, confidence, and efficacy.
- Help managers get better at bringing out the most competent, resourceful, change-friendly version of their employees.
- Help your employer enjoy the benefits of a resilient workforce, which include: greater productivity, lower turnover, lower healthcare costs, better customer/patient service, and less resistance to change.
Objectives:
- Participants will be able to communicate to supervisors, managers, and senior leaders how they can get what they want (including employees who embrace change, rather than fight it) by following HR’s recommendations.
- Participants will learn how to translate the science of peak performance to managerial and organizational practices that optimize employee resilience and performance.
- Participants will learn a research-based model connecting a person’s behaviors to their impact on others and, because of this, their productivity. They will then be able to use this model to increase managers’ and employees’ understanding of what they can both do to create a more resilient, “Can do” culture.
- Participants will leave with a clear set of Next Steps that will enable them to begin the process of removing obstacles preventing their employer from having a work environment that fosters an agile, adaptable, resilient workforce.
