Program Description
When 2018 began, Tennessee had a statewide unemployment rate of 3.3 percent, the sixth lowest in the nation. In April, unemployment in the Chattanooga area fell to an 18-year low. With competition increasing nationwide for high demand employees, how can employers compete for the talent they need in today’s marketplace?
Our presentation will highlight the following:
- The purpose and design of a total rewards strategy
- The building blocks of a total rewards strategy: Benefits, Compensation, Workplace Experience
- Leveraging big data and benchmarking to attract & retain talent
- Conducting a strategy session with key internal stakeholders
- Conducting a SWOT analysis of existing rewards plans
- Communication in the workplace
Speaker Bio
Speakers will be Matt Gregory, Assistant Vice President and Client Advocate with Lockton Companies and Tanner DeVries, District Manager in Tennessee for ADP.

Tanner DeVries is a Major Accounts District Manager at ADP based out of Nashville, TN. For the past three years he has been partnering with Mid to Large sized organizations across Tennessee to tailor and align ADP’s Human Capital Management Solutions with their own internal HCM strategies. By helping companies invest in ADP’s recruit-to-retire solutions, he helps businesses and executives concentrate on what they do best, while allowing ADP to focus at what we do best— HR systems, processes, and people analytics. He graduated from the University of Tennessee— Knoxville in 2011 with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
