SHRM Chattanooga is excited to partner with UTC's Center for Professional Education, to provide quarterly educational sessions for MEMBERS ONLY, who work for companies with greater than 500 employees and are the second-in-command in the Human Resources Department.  Their respective CHROs are welcome to attend, as well.

Program Description

"EFFECTIVE SUCCESSION PLANNING: STRATEGICALLY SUSTAINING TOMORROW'S BUSINESS WITH TODAY'S HIGH POTENTIAL EMPLOYEES"

During the presentation, HR leaders will learn how to implement succession planning strategies, which capitalize on exiting talent's knowledge and capabilities.  In addition, top-performing companies will be examined for best practices in ensuring smooth transitions and limited productivity loss.

Speaker Bio

Katherine Burnett is a seasoned leadership development professional with over twenty years of experience, working with a variety of organizations.  She has expertise in the areas of consulting, coaching and developing leaders.  Katherine's primary goal is enhancing performance, gaining buy-in for change and professional development.

Katherine has developed employees and leaders from front-line through senior executives in all areas of business and industry, including financial institutions, telecommunications, insurance, banking and manufacturing.  She is well respected and most recognized for her passion, knowledge and charismatic form of facilitation, as well as her candid consultation and coaching style.

Katherine earned a BS in Management from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri, and a MS degree from the Ken Blanchard School of Business at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona.
